These awards are to encourage and reward our youth for their interest and involvement in local and national agricultural issues, the Royal Bathurst Show and the Show movement generally.

ENTRANTS PLEASE NOTE:

WHO CAN ENTER?

Applicants must be:

 

  • Permanent Residents of Australia, residing in NSW
  • Able to spend time at Royal Bathurst Show 12th April to
    14th April 2024.
  • Volunteer as a Steward during the Show, Please nominate day,time & section you would like to be involved with.
  • Able to demonstrate a desire to become actively involved in local Shows and become ambassador for Shows

 

HOW TO ENTER:

  • Submit detailed Resume with the entry form attached (focusing on your rural and community achievements)
  • Include a covering letter as to why you would like to be a Young Rural Achiever
  • Include a recent photograph
  • List 2 or 3 Referees (or References) who can be contacted (one only from educational institution)
  • Include Recommendations and Testimonials from educational institutions, employers, colleagues, community groups etc.

 

JUDGING CRITERIA WILL INCLUDE:

  • Personal presentation and promptness
  • Written entry and Resume
  • Interview including verbal skills
  • Interests in community projects, shows, agricultural interests
  • Knowledge of both local and general rural issues
  • Background in rural or country town interests
